A WALK/RUN BENEFITTING THE AUDIOLOGY CLINICS OF CHILDREN'S MERCY HOSPITAL AND THE KANSAS SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF

Sertoma of Kansas City has always supported causes that help children whether it is equipment to diagnose a speech or hearing disorder or a child that is in need of a warm coat. We hold fundraisers and service projects all over our community each year.

Children's Mercy Hospital Audiology

The Hearing and Speech Clinic at Children's Mercy provides extraordinary care for diagnostics, early intervention, short-term treatment, teaching, and research. We are dedicated to giving exceptional care through the latest evidence-based practices and procedures, supported by state-of-the-art technology. We cannot do this without the support of our community and partners like Sertoma Kansas City. Race proceeds have been used to purchase equipment, provide hearing aids, and cover services.

The Kansas School for the Deaf (KSD) has a strong commitment to the education of students in Kansas who are deaf and hard of hearing ages birth to 21. This commitment extends not only to students attending KSD's center-based program but also to students enrolled in programs throughout the state.

Our Vision: A school, a community, a society in which hearing acuity is incidental, barriers are minimized, human potential is maximized, and people are judged by their contributions and their character
